I'm about the same age, and that's when cartoons went to shit for me, they tried to become real and human. I prefer the days of Heckle 'n Jeckle, Mighty Mouse, Jabberjaw, Tom and Jerry. It was just characters bringing the lols, not trying to preach or subliminal kike shit.
