Fair enough. But if this is to be believed, they weren't put on any list to allow them to leave the area. Now we both know the US could give two fucks about it's people but it least as to pretend they do, even if putting people on a list that they never intended to evacuate. If the US had, they could blame them.

Having lived abroad my experience is that the embassy provides no service to its citizens. In fact you will be treated like a foreign invader when you go visit them. You can't wear a watch. You can't bring in a car key fob. Phones are right out. No purses, ladies. I was not wearing a kippah, however.
