I don't know about anyone else, but way back in the early days of ecommerce I learned not to do business with companies in Brooklyn. There were many notorious for having insane prices online and then failing to deliver once the order was made. My trepidation for Brooklyn businesses remains to this day. I just assume the whole place is a shitshow of fraudsters and scammers.
