I presume he has won or though I have been google translating to try and confirm with no luck so far.
Seems like the votes wont be fully counted for a bit, but its clear that his brand new party did receive some votes. (possibly in the 2.5-3%) range. They might get some seats and they might get considered a "true" political party at least even if they dont get seats.
Edit: I want to add, he might not get elected but someone else could, they (his political party) ran a candidate for every district that was open, and then they might get a seat from the openings set aside for getting certain percents of the votes.
i think he was the only member of his party that ran but it's a goods start.
They actually ran a lot of candidates which is incredibly impressive for such a young party in Japan.
I really do hope they keep up the pace, they are a pretty based party.
