The whole "dogs are bad" thing in Islam is probably something they added to test the loyalty of their members. If you can get someone to believe that dogs are bad/dirty, then they'll probably believe any other bullshit they are told.

pet ownership a “destructive social problem” that could “gradually change the Iranian and Islamic way of life.”
If your "way of life" makes pet ownership illegal, your way of life should be changed. Fuck off Muslims.
