We are no longer surprised to hear of Muslim girls and women being beaten, or even beaten to death, by the religious police in Iran or the Taliban in Afghanistan. But now we are seeing Muslims enforcing their own dress codes not in Muslim lands, but in the very heart of Europe — in Vienna. What does this violent attack in Vienna — the girl without a hijab was punched in the face — mean? Four Muslim males physically attacked a Muslim female. a complete stranger to them, who was minding her own business, simply taking a walk with another Muslim woman, but without wearing a hijab. It means that some Muslims feel sufficiently empowered to apply the same rules to their womenfolk in the middle of Vienna as are applied, right now, in the most fanatical Muslim lands. These Muslims are not scared of the Austrian police. They feel confident enough to ignore Western, Infidel laws and instead to apply Islamic rules about female dress, just as the religious police do in Tehran and the Taliban does in Kabul, but in one of the great capitals of the advanced western world, Vienna.
