This right here is why I hate all humans. They do this to wild animals in India all the time. Those holy cows you so often see and elephants are regularly beaten and caned into submission. Because of their lower intelligence the elephant doesn't realize it could just trample and tear it's human oppressor to shreds if it wanted, it simply doesn't want anymore beatings. Seals are literally as playful and trusting towards people as dogs are, and then this is what we do to them.
