Marshalltown police are looking for a suspect involved in a deadly shooting at a Casey's store early Monday morning.
Officers were called around 3 a.m. to the Casey's store at 111 North 3rd Ave., where they found an adult male with a gunshot wound, according to a news release. The man has since died.
Police say they're now searching for an adult male suspect in the shooting. Neither the victim nor the suspect has been identified by police.
Marshalltown Police Chief Michael Tupper said the suspect, who was wearing one black shoe and one white shoe, fled on foot east on Bromley Street.
"We're focusing our investigation on that immediate area," Tupper said.
Casey's spokesperson Katie Petru said in a statement that the company is working to help authorities.
“We are deeply saddened by the shooting that took place at our Marshalltown store, and are focused on supporting our team members after this tragic event," Petru said.
