SIOUX CITY, Iowa — One man is in custody and another in the hospital after an early morning shooting on the west side.

Police were called to West 15th and Myrtle Streets just before 2 a.m. Wednesday for a reported shooting. They found one man with a gunshot wound to his leg and the shooter.

20-year-old Alejandro LaPointe is charged with willful injury, going armed with intent and possession of a weapon by a felon.
