The internet died in like 1998, before web 2.0. It died with cable internet. The issue before then wasn't one of storage (hosting), it was one of the ability to download that data at speeds able to keep up with a human mind, at bare minimum. That standard being met change everything. No longer was it, load a webpage, get up and go do something for a couple of minutes, read the page and repeat. Now it's: click a webpage and your attention is held for hours before you necessarily click off of it. Even then, the wait is the blink of an eye.

Also, the number of people who believe AI is new; of the last 8 or so years, are retarded. The AI we see now existed well over a decade ago, it just existed in places that you and I aren't privy to.

All birds are gay.

It could be that I'm a few years early, sure. There clearly isn't a specific date. Just like I say the US died with the civil war... Well, 1861 or 1865?

The internet died when it changed from being about information to being about people. Chat rooms, IRC and IM enabled the masses to talk directly to each other and the internet became social rather than educational. All the terrible human traits and flaws jumped to front-and-center and stayed there. Now we have even more narcissism, deviance and mindless dreck clogging the pipes since niggers and jews run amok on the internet without limit. There's no turning back now.

The internet was good, just the same as college was, when only the well off could afford it. Middle class at bare minimum. I think this shares meaning in what you're posting, just more nuanced.

re: college used to be for the best and brightest, which usually meant the well-to-do, or just short of, at most. Where poor people only got in if they showed some exemplar ability.

I think it’s going to get worse

It's 100% going to get worse. Skynet is a dream.

I have some compelling evidence on my Geocitites page.
