I’ve got dns blocking ads and extensions as well so my experience may vary from others but there are no annoyances for me.
What IS annoying is if I try to default anything to Yandex, I have never figured out how to get it to load in English and use imperial. It always goes through the Russian version of the site. Even making an account, I see no way to tell it to default to USA, English, Imperial.
(This is all in reference to my mobile experience.)
FF has a good translate extension, I use it on rutracker
I do too! I use ru for boxing torrents.
Dns blocking ads, what's that?
You can set it up on your own router or (basically) give your data away to companies like AdGuard to do it for you.
There are crowd sourced lists of ip addresses that get updated which blocks the majority of ads and annoyances. Very effective. And filtering through dns works for apps on your smartphone which makes life a lot nicer.
I've been using pipepipe for joo-tube for a few weeks now and so far so good. I've using brave for most everything else. It's kind of garbage now but it's still better than panjeet with colored words.
What list do you use?
