Icecat is a Firefox fork which is privacy friendlier. Ungoogled Chromium is a less-data-collecty chrome. These people feel entitled to your information.

You mean there's an option to hide what Firefox is doing from the end user.
I am sad to report that after 28 years of using Netscape browsers I finally had to quit when news of this broke.
It is time to go when they offer this option. You cannot trust the people who make the product at that point. Points for communicating the compromise, but no thanks.
