Come November when the new thread rippers come out no one in their right mind will be looking for Intel chips except to upgrade existing computers since the more powerful and cheaper AMD chips will flood the market making Intel and obsolete option and more expensive for less performance also. Yeah anyone that invested in AMD long ago will likely see their stock rise where as Intel investors will be bitten in the ass once their sales plummet along with demand altogether.

True, for people building their own machines. OEM's still know that the uninformed public sees Intel and thinks that's the best. AMD apparently can't afford an advertising war to try to educate consumers on cost/performance realities.

Well informing people is our job. We are the computer literate and our job is to keep unknowing people from making mistakes like buying something crappy for more money often times. Like I used to tell all my friends not to buy a Gateway long ago. Sure enough they ignored my advise but it isn't their fault that their computer is slow and crappy, it's just fate even though they were told they can never take the blame.

To be fair, assuming you got a P3 Gateway back in the day, it wasn't SLOW so much as it was bloated with their shitware.
