The current self improvement change I'm focusing on is picking out our clothes the night before. The kids and I are picking out our outfit the night before so it's one less dicision to make in the morning. Also it makes it easier to get dressed sooner instead of staying in jammies half the day. When you are dressed for your day you are often more productive.

We have been doing this for about two weeks and we are starting to get consistint with it. It has helped me be productive and in a better mood in the morning. It has almost eliminated the fight I was having every morning with the kids to get dressed. In fact I don't even have to remind my one daughter most mornings.

I know it's a little thing but it's a little thing that helps start our day off on the right foot.

I'm going to focus on this for a little while longer till it becomes more of a habit and then I'll add something else to focus on.

Great advice

I've been laying out my workboots, work clothes, safety shit etc. Night before

Also non perishable lunch items

Often I have to wake up at 330 or 4 helps a ton

I do this off and on but when I do it always makes my morning run so much smoother. This is encouraging to get back into it and make it a habit.

I started doing this a long time ago on workdays and it makes mornings so much easier. An additional thing I did is use the time I saved by being early to work. I kept my alarm at the same time and left when I was ready. Over time I've expanded on that and I now get to work about twenty minutes early every day. If traffic is bad or something happens to delay me leaving I can still drive to work calmly, not needing to rush and speed, and still get there on time. I can honestly say I've been late to work only a few days over the last ten years.

I'm now early to everything, and it's eliminated a needless cause of stress in my life. We all have these devices in our pockets with unlimited ways to pass time, being early is no longer a bore. On time is late for me.
