I don't trust this for the most part. This is a cheap home made version of a faraday cage. You can buy faraday kits online, but they can be kind of a bit pricey (not that bad though).

I should do my own homemade DIY faraday cage with a phone and such. One that is better quality, but you can still do at home.

  1. Buy a faraday cage making kit online (somewhat pricey) - The one I know you get two rolls of material and special duck type which also helps in blocking any transmissions from going in and/or out of the custom cage itself.

  2. 3D print a plastic cover to go around the phone itself completely. Then surround it with all the materials.

He kind of lost me at aluminum foil.

A Faraday cage is simple, you don't need some expensive kit. Just buy some metal screen (like screen door screen). Preferably use a metal that's highly conductive (I'm partial to brass). Then fold it up into a bag that is surrounded on all sides like an envelope or a burrito. Finally Use a needle and thread to tie the corners to keep the whole thing from falling apart.

I don't mind paying the convenience fee of a kit for the most part. I also don't ever really buy them. Just for exploring and such usually.

But that's a great point to as well.

With a name like I thought you'd appreciate the process.
