That was a lovely clip. At the risk of missing the point, it has opened my eyes to a solution i thought did not exist. Over a decade ago I broke an antique china platter that had belonged to my great grandmother. You can see where I’m going with this. It broke my heart. I searched high and lo for a solution, finally resigning myself to gently placing the pieces in a cardboard box and crying while looking at it over the years. Perhaps finally, I will glue it back together with gold and it will make a symbolic appearance at this year’s Thanksgiving table, illustrating that even in damage and death, there can be found beauty and appreciation.
