Over 50 organisations have raised concerns about Germany's proposed legal amendments that intend to criminalise sea rescue.

It's not sea rescue when you're the one that put them there.

It doesn't criminalize legitimate rescue. These NGOs are encouraging people smugglers to tow barely seaworthy and usually engineless dingies full of illegals into European waters so they can "rescue" them by finishing the smuggling route. It's thinly veiled crime.
