Allow comments from blocked users on the blocker's posts, otherwise the post can become an echo chamber without any dissent. Hiding the comments from the blocker is ideal.

Backstory, Anticlutch blocked me because I challenged his jew paranoia, now I can't reply to any trash he posts. People have the right to hear all opinions, if Anticlutch can close down discussions around what he posts, that's really wrong.

edit: further to this, I cannot reply to his comments, so it makes it look like I left the battlefield when I did not. This is absurd. HIDE the comments from the blocker, do not prevent commenting!

I would just ask that is it right to force your opinion on him? He's blocked you. Shouldn't he have the right? You sound awfully close to complaining because you didn't get an outcome you want.

If blocked, you can't downvote or reply to that user's posts and comments.

Right now, someone can post all out lies, block the users who downvote and point out their lies. - So that when they continue to post their lies, they won't get downvoted or have their lies pointed out.

OP complaining that they can't "win" the argument - Well, that's just petty. - But there is a huge problem with the block feature. If someone is blocked, they lose the ability to downvote and point out the lies to everyone else.

You shouldn't be forced to see what I write if you don't want to see it. But also, you shouldn't have the ability to prevent everyone else from seeing what I write. - That's the issue.

This is a much clearer explanation of your perspective. Now I'd be comfortable supporting some changes.

You miss the point entirely. He can create reddit style echo chambers on every post he makes because he can eliminate dissent. Voat would never prevent you from commenting, they would hide your comments from the person that blocked you.

"Voat would never"

L O L Well, there's a new Voat you can go to. Likely get banned though.

new voat?

Or the last word.

Nothing about that comment history says unjustified blocking.
