Besides my other points, it seems a little defeatist to argue against making a rule because bad people won't follow it. Imagine if such argument were made against other things that are against the site rules, such as pedophilia, illegal content, or threats of violence.

I'll use illegal content for the example, but for a really visceral argument imagine someone defending pedo shit this way -- vile.

Who will decide what is illegal content?

Who will report it when someone ignores (or is oblivious about) the illegal content rule and will just post it anyway? (ciminals don't give a fuck about the welcome page of websites they target).

If porn is properly categorized and blocked by everyone, then no rule violation will have been committed.
