Great ant killer - mix a little powdered Boric Acid (available in drug stores for making eye drops) with sugar water and leave around the house in small dishes (I used to use plastic bottle caps). The ants seek out the sugar water, drink it up, go back to the nest and feed the Queen - that becomes sterile as soon as she ingests it. The nest collapses within a day. Works like a charm. Far cheaper, safer and more effective than most any traps, poison, etc. Safe for pets.
