What an overly complicated contraption that is. I'm thinking about getting a traditional long bow. You know what that is? A piece of wood with a string tied to it.

Al of the extra stuff is just simple add-ons. A compound bow is a simple pulley system that increases draw range and over in a more compact form. To get a long bow with the same ability it would need to be 3 times as long. That's a 6 ft bow. The full draw on a 6 ft bow is longer than most arm spans.

I've got one of those contraptions and I can drop arrows into a 2 inch group at 40 yards all day long while my recurve and long bow buddies are trying to get a few into the paper. The best of them shoot 6 inch groups while I'm bangin bulls eyes.
