While baiting for this years hunting season, I found 2 old horseshoes, and dinner bell.

Guessing the bell is about 100 years old. Ad on Ebay says 1920'-30's.

You should try out a metal detector. I bet you'd find lots of stuff.. and nails lots of nails.

I plan on it, just brought batteries today. I also have a rolling magnet. I find all types of metal. This was once a sweet potato plantation that was worked by many slaves. I find arrowheads alot here also.

Lots of re-pops of that longhorn bell out there, cool you found an original.

Nice finds.. The bell is awesome. I hope you have a nice place to hang it.

Yes, I'm going to clean up and hang it on my new porch soon. I have made a "my last name" family farm sign for horseshoes. We are opening a trading post on the lower half of my property next year.

Oh yes, I remember. Wonderful.

These were clearly Fuck Joe Biden's. They're probably not worth more than $5-6 dollars

Well it's not worth alot didn't expect to be. I found one for $75.

Not sure FJB was born when this place was a confederate plantation, and he isn't even worth the mud on my shoe.

Wow. Are they pre or post cleaned? Just outa curiosity, how were they found? Like, accidentally, or what? Really frikin cool regardless.

Brought property adjoining mine 2 years ago, been vacated a long time before that. Tore down the house, Built a dirt road to it. Noticed them sticking out of the disturbed dirt, when I was putting out bear and deer bait for hunting season. These haven't been cleaned yet.

Awesome! The earth has so much to share, we just need to listen. Thanks!

Fantastic! Once you make a pass or two with the metal detector I'm sure you'll find more stuff!

Look across the forest floor for any lump or bumps. A rectangular ridge line will indicate were a stone walled house or half-timbered barn collapsed. Be wary of old, partially filled wells.

I have found a well. Already tore down the house. Have lots to clean up still. I have stone walls everywhere that were built by slaves. I only have a piece of a very huge farm that stretched 2 counties, thousands of acres in the holler of the Ozarks. It was contracted by the government to feed the poor before food stamps.
