We planted this garlic last fall. We might have harvested a little early but it still looks great. My wife wants to grow some hard neck garlic next year so it can look nicer hanging.

Ha. I just came here to say “you picked it too early”. I’ve been growing “German music” soft neck variety for the past 2 years. I’m sure seed garlic is going to be priced insane this fall. It was last year. I’ve grown hard necks a couple of times. For the past 3 years I’ve grown our garlic in raised beds, but next year I’m switching to 10gal fabric pots. Question: why are you hanging them upside down? I’ve always cured mine outside hanging the other way.

I think either way is fine with proper ventilation. I will probably move them away from the wall a little more.

You have to hang them upside down so the nutrients flow into the leaves.

Oh that’s not right. (Double down left handed rebound sarcasm)
