Is the movie really woke, or is it really obscure without any mass appeal?
I remember seeing The Life Aquatic, it was a good art-house flick but I don't see how it got greenlit for theatrical release.

Revolver news editorialized the title calling it woke, but I'm not sure what is woke about it. The reviews I read say it is just a bad film, boring and convoluted.

I see a review where someone says it's taking the politics of the film's time period and attempting to apply them to modern times, but it also says it's just a convoluted hot mess.
Sounds like just a bad movie.
