I started watching it on my Android box and it was promising for one episode. The story of Leif Erikson, his character starts out a badass fighter. Then he's knocked out every time there's a battle and wakes up when it's over. They try justifying the half black Queen when she explains how her mother married an African warrior. So we know they're aware people are tired of their shit. It's very poorly directed, big fight scenes are jumped ahead left to imagination. Two episodes in and I lost interest.

It is very poorly directed. I loved the original Vikings series, but this one is just "flat" and "without soul". The actors they've chosen for this aren't believable in their roles.

I watched the first ten minutes of episode one, and was very disappointed. It looks cheap. I don't know exactly what it is, but I can take a look at a television series and tell in half a minute or less whether it is a quality production or not. Vikings was a quality production. This is not. I think it's the lenses on the cameras they use. This has a soap opera look. And the sound wasn't right. Not enough noise from the extras gathered in the long house.

That's a hallmark of Michael Hirst's writing: English (Saxons) are stupid and need to be shown as weak. The only two Saxon characters that they ever made look convincing on the original series was Alfred the Great (as the "equal" or "foil" to Ragnar) and then Bishop Heahmund as a sociopathic, bound-for-hell Pagan killer.

I have gone back and watched shows from the 60's and 70's. It's amazing how many were produced and acted in by jews. They've always run the propaganda they just changed the general script.
