Kids used to climb trees too. And without helmets or harnesses.

We used to climb 15~20 meters tall trees and build houses.

A broken arm/hand/wrist/ankle wasn’t a big deal and had a much more impact on us than adults telling us to be careful.

You're probably in your 40s? When I was a kid was when people started being overly cautious. I would climb poles and trees and people were banging on our door to tell my parents.

People need to let their kids learn through play and get hurt, as hard as it is.

Looks a lot like the playground I enjoyed when I was in first and second grade. Everything was made out of galvanized steel and hardwood.
