They made us learn that in grade school. it was a whole song I've mostly forgotten.

I used to run on several parts of the old canals they turned into trails. Some of the locks are still there in the Cleveland and Akron areas.

Nice. We have a few operating locks farther south, but most of the canals are simply dry ditches with sandstone ghosts.

I ran the Ohio & Erie Canal towpath trail. Not all of it but a good chunk of it. It goes all through Ohio

I guess I should clarify they're river locks.
