The Catholic church would be in control, there would be no Protestant, Methodist, Calvinist, or other denominations of Protestant. The USA would not have the Quaker State. All of the Americas other than Brazil would belong to Spain. Different, yes. Better?

Crusades weren’t Catholic; they were Protestant.

You have it reversed.

The Crusades were a series of religious wars started, supported, and sometimes directed by the Latin Church in the medieval period. The best-known Crusades are those between 1095 and 1291, to recover Jerusalem and its surrounding area from Islamic rule.

The last recognized Crusades were in the 15th century against Waldensians in Savoy, Hussites in Bohemia, and Protestants in the 16th. The crusades ended in 1699 with the War of the Holy League.

The Reformation that led to the formation of the Protestant Religion began in Germany in 1517 when Martin Luther published his Ninety-five Theses and nailed them to the church door.
