The US soldier was the most well equipped infantryman on the planet at that time in WWII. Smartest soldiers as well, while not being as tactically smart as the german soldier, an american soldier seeing a german well defended stronghold, instead of assaulting it, they would call in artillery and airstrikes. Sure. They accepted the western methods which were pushed to them. Teddy Roosevelt made big pushes to them. Soon they were dressing in western suits to be more appealing to Americans. Japan was America ally in world war 1 and we gave them tons of tech. Especially shipbuilding tech. Not to au they aren't smart but the reason they went to western navies was earlier western interaction.
By the way I am not so sure working in a factory is abetter culture than early Japanese or Chinese farming culture. Who is it better for? Factory owners is all.
