Orwell was a militant atheist - particularly against Christians, a jew lover, and a disgruntled socialist. His opposition to Hitler came from his own perspectives as a “secular humanist,” which is merely philosophical double talk for jewish hedonism promising to be paid for by someone else. Of course he was opposed to Hitler’s common sense approach to economic thrift, hard work, traditional values and stamping out vice.
