That was some super weird stuff. In hindsight it is obvious that the people who raided the museums knew exactly what they were looking for. They were not normal looters. There is a lot of conjecture about what was removed from Iraq especially, because Saddam Hussein may have been hiding a few things.

Why isn't the government returning every middle east antiquity from the Smithsonian? Why aren't the pressuring the UK to empty the London museum? Only conservative christians are punished I guess?

That is exactly what is going on. Years ago they attacked Gibson guitars a few times with made up shit because they donated to GOP members. Fender was left alone. The government has been shown to attack conservatives so many times now that it is clear they are abusing their power and won't ever be stopped without extreme force.
