The invasion of 1066 produced a significant emigration of English to Constantinople, forming a 'Nova Anglia' which survived until the 1300's.
There would have been East Goths in that area at that time. I wonder if they got along. But then, since the Ostrogoths lasted past teh 16th century, maybe the Anglo Saxons just got absorbed into that group.
Maybe England can declare war on russia to take it back...
