“The Minnesota Transracial Adoption Study examined the IQ test scores of 130 black or interracial children adopted by advantaged white families. The aim of the study was to determine the contribution of environmental and genetic factors to the poor performance of black children on IQ tests as compared to white children. The initial study was published in 1976 by Sandra Scarr and Richard A. Weinberg. A follow-up study was published in 1992 by Richard Weinberg, Sandra Scarr and Irwin D. Waldman. Another related study investigating social adjustment in a subsample of the adopted black children was published in 1996. The 1992 follow-up study found that "social environment maintains a dominant role in determining the average IQ level of black and interracial children and that both social and genetic variables contribute to individual variations among them."

If the results of this study are accurate, it seems to me like it's saying that the problem is black culture after all. If removing children from the culture allows their IQ to increase by a standard deviation it should be clear to anyone not clouded by ideological thinking that the culture is responsible.

Yes of course it is. Genetics give you your baseline range. Yes genetics is important. Yes you can't get smarter or dumber than your genetic range.

But environment and culture and upbringing give you where you land within that range. I'll take a black with a 110 iq who's at peak capacity because he was raised with a white culture background than a 90 iq bottom of his range white trash motherfucker who idolized drug and rap culture because he was only ever exposed to it.

Could I teach the white man to be smarter and better? Maybe. Do I want to? That's his parents job not mine and they fuckin failed.

I think it says that both genetics and environment play a role. Black adoptees' IQs are higher than blacks that were not adopted by whites, however they are lower than the IQs of the adopted white children. This aligns with other studies I have read that indicate that IQ is both heritable and that it depends on environment. The Flynn effect itself indicates, to me, that IQ is not a measure of pure genetic potential, as it is sometimes portrayed.

Genetics has been tested to be 50-80% of the determining factors of IQ. No one ever argues that it is 100% genetic except for Jews when they are creating a strawman.
