Small search to find out. Haven't corroborated it. 

      After the Dodge brothers left the Ford Motor Company to produce their own cars in 1914, they adopted as their logo two interlocking deltas with the initials DB in the center. The logo in place resembled the Star of David, giving rise to the rumor around Ford that the brothers were Jewish.  Ford notoriously disliked and distrusted the Jewish race.

      The interlocking delta design was actually an ancient middle eastern insignia, that was popular among masons, including the Dodge Brothers. To the Dodge brothers, it also reflected the unity, fidelity and brotherhood shared by the brothers who were so close that they refused to accept any mail not addressed to both of them. The Detroit Saturday Night magazine commented on the Ford rumors that ‘[T]he theory that they [the Dodge brothers] were Jews is quite as sane as any other we have seen in the anti-semitic antics of Ford’s paper [The Dearborn Independent]” The Dodge brothers both died in 1920 and were laid to rest in a shared mausoleum of an Egyptian Revival Architecture to their liking.

It's worth keeping in mind that the star of david being a jewish symbol is a relatively recent thing. It's more of a rothschild symbol, and before that it was one of several hermetic symbols with a variety of meanings.

Very true, but I think at the time Dodge was founded, it was pretty associated with Judaism. It was the symbol(en.wikipedia.org) of the first zionist congress in 1897. Dodge wasn't founded until 1900.

Man oh man, they weren't even being modest with that old logo, eh? Timely post, since Ford is now packing their shit up. The total destruction of a domestic manufacturing base with any kind of sustainable economic ethics is nearly consummated, and America is being bled dry. There's no problem lowering yourself to the level of the Chinese or the Mexicans, as long as you don't mind living like they do. A tree bears a fruit according to its kind.

Ford fought hard against the unions and did NOT want to go public and did not until long after Henry was dead in 1956.

Ford was the majority stockholder in 1919 and had a lot of capital he wanted to reinvest in the corp and hire lots more people.

The Dodge brothers only owned 10% of the stock.
