While working in California, went on a biz trip to a company in Alabama and ate and drank with them, while ignoring my Cali coworkers. I had forgotten good people exist, I thought they went extinct but they just weren't dumb enough to get stationed in Cali. We laughed at the Cali guys while they pulled assault rifles from their trunk in the parking lot to show me. The difference in reaction was not only palpable, but to a southern boy, damn funny. I'm pretty sure it's the reason I quit and moved.
