Trucks have come a long way. Still can't believe they used to put the gas tank right behind the bench seat, haha.
I remember filling up those.
I used to drive a work truck like that. It was a flat bed truck and had such a tank. We also had a side tank and a switch on the left side of the driver's seat to switch tanks.
I miss my dad's sparkly blue, square body, single cab, bench seat, 4x4, lifted, manual trans, dual gas tank, wing windows, F250. Thing was awesome. Always started in 2nd because 1st was so low. You could let it idle in 1st while walking beside it throwing stuff in the bed.
Sweet truck man. And wing windows. I loved them in every vehicle I have ever owned. Nothing nicer than having those things open and feeling fresh air. I kind of like messing with the wing windows. I've always liked manual transmissions but maybe that's because it was the first type of vehicle I learned to drive.
