Always psychology, every single time.
I was a Pysch minor in school for a few semesters. I dropped it after taking a “science of emotion 201” class. It was just intellectual fluffy bullshit. The day I figured it was a waste of time and money, I hit my roommates vaporizer (yea I know, OMG weed) before class, and all I could see was the body language of the prof. He was wearing a semi-ridiculous red blazer, and I could tell he knew it looked kinda dumb. A good “Thomas had seen everything and it was time to leave” moment ha. Certainly dumb shit, but slightly less dumb than pysch coursework.
There’s a few nuggets I remember. Maslow’s hierarchy makes decent sense. Kitty Genovese showed dystopian cities for what they are. The Phineas Gage story is fucking wild, but that’s actual science.
Mazlovs hierarchy shows how to live like an animal by giving up your core principles. Think for a second why self-actualisation is so high on the pyramid. They want you to live without purpose.
