That's a interesting way of saying "Take this one time and it will change your brains physical structure, probably forever". Though, I do think the research is good to do though.

From the post:

>A single dose of psilocybin, the active ingredient in magic mushrooms, can induce anatomical changes in the brain, according to research among people who took the psychedelic compound for the first time. Scientists spotted apparent changes in the brain’s structure which were still apparent a month after healthy volunteers took the drug. If confirmed, they may help explain the therapeutic effects that psychedelics can have on anxiety, depression and addiction, researchers said.

Mushrooms never helped me in the slightest. When I was in my 20s they gave me a body buzz. Started making mushroom tea in my early 40s, trying to pick it back up to deal with alcoholism. Not only did it not help with the alcoholism, but I felt like I was going crazy - no hallucinations or anything - just like my brain was tweaking out and I was about to snap. I stopped taking the shit when during one of these episodes I started laughing maniacally and couldn't stop.

Fuck hallucinogens.
