That's a interesting way of saying "Take this one time and it will change your brains physical structure, probably forever". Though, I do think the research is good to do though.

From the post:

>A single dose of psilocybin, the active ingredient in magic mushrooms, can induce anatomical changes in the brain, according to research among people who took the psychedelic compound for the first time. Scientists spotted apparent changes in the brain’s structure which were still apparent a month after healthy volunteers took the drug. If confirmed, they may help explain the therapeutic effects that psychedelics can have on anxiety, depression and addiction, researchers said.

I'm an advocate of psychedelics - not only because I like to trip - but because how amazing I've always felt after. Now, a lifetime after my last trip, all this research is coming out about the positive impact it has, which makes me advocate more. I wish it was available to those in certain positions career-wise, but... here's to continued research and hopes it becomes de facto for fixing fucked up minds.

Mushrooms never helped me in the slightest. When I was in my 20s they gave me a body buzz. Started making mushroom tea in my early 40s, trying to pick it back up to deal with alcoholism. Not only did it not help with the alcoholism, but I felt like I was going crazy - no hallucinations or anything - just like my brain was tweaking out and I was about to snap. I stopped taking the shit when during one of these episodes I started laughing maniacally and couldn't stop.

Fuck hallucinogens.

I heard somewhere that this is a substance with a therapeutic index many times lower than e.g. aspirin. Which means it has little to no measurable side effects. And it kind of instantly cures depression. Got to say this headline makes me remember the article about risen traffic accidents if the rona vaccine hasn't been taken. Funny enough though, that the cause for more accidents in study in the article isn't health related, but related to the higher affinity to not play by the rules if you skipped the recommended vaccine.

In the article it says the results are the exact opposite in the elderly and those with dementia. There's also an article about psychedelics causing "increased mental health risks". It says test subjects experienced "greater psychological insight"; so they contemplated their navel more deeply and discovered how that lint gets in there afterall...

How about testing them tripping their asses off while balancing a checkbook or driving a car in rush hour. Different story. It's all about "muh psychic insight".

Hippies are stupid as shit. Apparently their brains literally malfunctioning is seen as "insight" and "vision quest". No, the dopers just want to justify being a doper.

Remember GG Allin? He got the way he was b/c he refused to do drugs, and one of his burnout friends slipped a couple hits of acid into one of his donuts. Dude lost his mind and became the violent trainwreck we remember him as.

I never listened to his music but that's a really shitty thing to do.

I think everyone should eat some shrooms at least once in their life.

I'd be cautious about "everybody". Maybe a clean lsd.

I would like to insert the GIF of Gary oldman in the professional yelling everyone at this juncture.

God gave us everything on the planet and the ability to use it. Nothing is happenstance.

Stop using man made chemical poisons and pharmaceuticals.

Expand your brain, use what’s available.

This includes nigger weed. But again the Bible is a road map, and has many tips. Everything in moderation.

Except Poal. Binge addiction should continue for Poal.
