I have posted this before but when I was growing up my parents forced me to get the Flu vax. I got sick every single time. I moved out and stopped getting it after the first year (I did one more time after moving out, then I started reading about it more and stopped. Got sick that time too).
Now, In several decades I have only gotten the flu a hand full of times. It sucked and I hated it but it was about the same as getting the vax then getting sick right after. I have gone years without getting the flu since I stopped getting the flu vax. YMMV, do what is right for you but it was not right for me.
