So, here's a bit of encouraging news. My jurisdiction maintains a very liberal (in the classic definition of the word) position on raw milk. We have a local dairy that has been selling raw milk for years. Delicious cream plug on top liquid white gold. You can go to the farm, and meet their gorgeous Jerseys and hardy Holsteins. They'll show you their operation, even let your kiddos get in some hands on milking time. Clean, professional, wholesome. They have booths at several of the area farmer's markets. You can preorder raw milk on their website and arrange to pick it up out at the farm or one of said farmer's markets. Historically, I have never preordered because they always travel to the markets with plenty of reserves. I've struck out the last two Saturdays. My milk maid informed me that this week she had 147 gallons and 179 half gallons preordered just for our one specific location. I'm not the slightest bit perturbed. This just means that the word is out and spreading like wild fire. Raw dairy booths at farmers markets are a bastion of EuroLactoChad good and hardy white folk and it pleases me that my fellow local citizenry is getting back on board the health and wellness train of our forbears.
