It's known as donor chimerism and is actually a good thing for recipients because they most likely can stop taking anti rejection meds.

People that have organ transplants can (rarely) experience chimerism at the donor anastomosis- where the donor and donee organ are stitched together. These lucky dogs are able to get off anti rejection drugs because the body doesn't see the donor organ as foreign.

Sucks to be having somebody else's kids...
