Ancel Keys manipulated data to justify his theory that low fat diets reduced the risk of heart disease and the AHA and govt agencies (USDA, FDA, NIH) adopted his theory without listening to the arguments from other medical professionals who said it would make us FAT. And it did. (Reminds me of the COVID Vax propaganda & Fauci.) It eventually influenced the creation of the food pyramid, which advocated a diet low in fat and high in grains, breads and cereals (aka sugar).

It costs $ 1 Billion a day in health care to treat Type II diabetes. It will eventually bankrupt us if something doesn't change.

Here's the real story:

Who knew that a plate full of eggs, bacon, ham and butter covered in salt was actually good for you? Our ancestors did...

[–] 2 pts 3y

The best way to fix most fucked up things is to go back to how something used to work and adjust from there instead of trying to make someone elses fucked up repair work.

However the way the world works people do anything to make retardation work. Like if someone convincedbthe govt cars would be more efficient if they replaced the front tires with shopping cart wheels, the govt would then spend the next 50 years making roads smoother so it would work, tho it never would actually work.

[–] 1 pt 3y

Correct. The American Heart Association hasn't changed their standards even though it's clear the "approved diet" is bad for you. Why? Money. They make a ton of money by certifying foods as "Heart Healthy", when in fact they aren't.

The food pyramid is basically an advertising campaign to get people to buy more grains than meat, because it’s easier to sustain the nation from an agricultural perspective

[–] [deleted] 2 pts 3y

I don’t think that’s as good for us as you think, but it’s much better than overeating the sugar based diet so many are fed today.

The biggest thing causing obesity now is overeating. The sugar based foods contribute to that because the short term energy boost from sugar, and subsequent crash, create a physiological dependence on constant influx of more to maintain the same energy levels.

That said, the fat heavy diet is still too much food. We all need to simply eat less. Eat more fruits and veggies. Eat less carbs. And I could be wrong here, but eat less red meat. I think there’s enough circumstantial evidence to suggest that there are long term implications of eating a steak every day.

[–] 2 pts 3y

When you do fat heavy food you stop eating, sometimes for days. You just aren't hungry.

Add in a few grams of sugar and viola, hungry again in a few hrs.

That’s a very important distinction. People today eat that heavy breakfast…then repeat it for dinner. Then again the next day. And the next.

[–] 2 pts 3y

True, but if that was your first meal of the day and you then went out into the fields and worked until the sunset before your next meal, then it absolutely was good for you. But, if its just first breakfast followed by second breakfast then lunch, supper, dinner, and snacks in between, then it isn't good for you.

[–] [deleted] 1 pt 3y

Very true.

The thing that keeps me on the fence about diet in general is another controversial topic around here: evolution. I buy into it, and think that, if it’s true, our bodies were likely optimized for another diet. Of course the demands of our body have changes as well, but ….

[–] 0 pt 3y

You are wrong.

Firstly sugar is plant and plant is sugar.

It's the plant based diets killing us.

Secondly you cannot over eat fat. Fat is extremely filling

[–] [deleted] 1 pt 3y

All plants are not created equal.

[–] 2 pts 3y

Exactly. Our govt. is killing us with their approved "standards"

[–] 1 pt 3y

Hopefully the silver-lining to all of the cv-crimes is that people won’t trust anything the government, pharma, medical-industrial complex, msm,...etc., has said about anything.

We’ll be forced to go out and see for ourselves and we’ll find our way back to health.

[–] 1 pt 3y

It costs $ 1 Billion a day in health care to treat Type II diabetes.

How much of that is for the 1000x-inflated-price insulin?

[–] 1 pt 3y

The people around me will not stop eating McDonald's. It is insane. The amount of traffic around McDonald's has increased ten fold since the Cohen 19. They eat this crap every day. I had a stucco guy, Juan, told me he ate McDonald's breakfast every single morning. Same thing. And he enjoys the hell out of it. Went down with some kind of near lethal stomach issue a few years back. Shitting blood. Wanted to die. He never put the two together. What can you do? But once I mentioned Jews and he spat on the floor. So he was ok in my book.

[–] 0 pt 3y

I know people like this too. Short term gratification is what drives them........sad really. That fried crap full of gluten and preservatives will kill you faster than anything.....

Also the Sydney Heart Diet Study (confided 1966 - 1973, but not published until 2013 because the data was "lost")

https://faseb.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/abs/10.1096/fasebj.27.1_supplement.127.4

Low cab diet increased all cause mortality by >60%, worse if you had cardio vascular disease or chronic heart disease.

[–] 1 pt 3y

Wow, so they knew the whole time.

[–] 1 pt 3y

Data was "lost" until 2013. Just like the DOJ loses evidence. SMH

[–] 1 pt 3y

You can change this. Stop eating carbs and sugar. Hard to do in this modern world but it is possible

[–] 2 pts 3y

Stop eating plants.

Fixed it for you

[–] 0 pt 3y

Yep, the movie goes into exactly that. A diet rich in fats and veggies and a moderate amount of protein is best. This keeps your insulin from spiking. Low fat packaged foods are packed with sugar as the way to replace the flavor lost when the fat is removed.

Cholesterol isn't what causes arteries to get clogged -- it's the sugar that damages them. Once the damage is there, that's where the cholesterol gets deposited.

I wasted time typing up something in another reply that you much more succinctly said here….

[–] 1 pt 3y

Potato is a veggie and it will spike your insulin and kill you.

Eat fatty meat

End of dietary advice. The rest is just tweaking for taste

[–] 1 pt 3y

Who owned the sugar/corn industry at the time?

[–] 2 pts 3y (edited 3y)

Don't know....but we do know the cereal companies had a hand in this. Senator McGovern also pushed for this "diet" to be rolled out to Americans without listening to the counter arguments. Perhaps he had a financial stake in some of those firms...........

[–] 1 pt 3y

It's so stupidly obvious that fat isn't bad. We've been getting most calories from meat and fat for millions of year until the Jews started selling us sugar.

[–] 0 pt 3y (edited 3y)

It's a myth that carbs make you fat. What makes people fat is eating too many calories. That's the law of thermodynamics. It's easy to over eat something that taste good. It makes you want to eat more.

Relying on your stomach too tell you how hungry you are so you can determine how much you should or shouldn't eat is not a good strategy. If it was there would be far less fat people. It's best to understand what you are eating. Like how much energy and nutrients the food contains as well as how satiating it is.

Yes, the agencies knowingly put this out there to make people fat, $1 B a day is peanuts when you consider how expensive kikes and niggers are.

[–] 0 pt 3y

Americans are fat because of endocrine disruption.

What happens when you spray or neuter a dog? It puts on weight. Our bodies are under constant attack from chemicals in our environment, and while this includes diet, it is not limited to it. This issue is much more complex that what you put in your mouth.
