Kids, if you want to impress your friends, explain there is a good chance this vaccine will make the covid infection MORE severe because of a paradoxical phenomenon called ADE (antibody dependent enhancement). Certain viruses are difficult to develop a safe vax for because antibodies may *help* the infection by acting as a trojan horse to transport the virus into certain immune cells where they replicate. This phenomenon has been seen with vaccines for other coronaviruses, as well as Dengue fever , yellow fever, Zika, some influenzas, HIV and RSV. They never released a SARS vax because of this problem. ADE killed a few toddlers that received RSV vax and has also killed some people who received Dengue vax. How have they “fixed” this problem or ensured it won’t happen with young people who would otherwise be safe from this virus? They haven’t
