What about the mental health of the workers?

Violence is more prevalent in homes where someone is involved in this type of industry, which is indicative of an anti-logos modus operandi.

What about it? No one is enslaving them and forcing them to work their. I would argue that the people who work at those places are the types to be violent anyways. Why don't you work at one and petition for changes? Because you lack the constitution or mentality for it to be something you would do.

However, does it strike you as immoral to have an industry which facilitates the final moments of life and dignity in death of the animals, in the hands of those lacking in empathy?

I am sure you will agree that the consumption of meat is a luxury and not a necessity - b12 deficiency is found in both meat eaters and vegetarians. Vitamin D is available through sunlight and mushrooms - in fact if you leave a mushroom on the windowsill it absorbs vitamin D.

So is it morally justifiable to terrorise the animals for the sake of our luxury?
