Never had duck eggs. How are the compared to store bought chicken eggs?
About 1/4 to 1/3 bigger. Usually the yolk is a greater % of the egg contents, and is more "meaty" and less "runny." Can use them for anything you'd use a chicken egg for.
Duck eggs are the superior egg for boiling - rich, velvet yolk and translucency of the white.
Also as the eggs are considered more specialist - I associate them with higher levels of animal welfare.
The egg industry is very evil. Very evil. In fact one of the worst things - probably the worst thing I have ever seen in my life. I couldn't stop crying and I could not believe that human beings were capable of it.
Are you a sympathetic person or joking? We do such great amounts of evil that factory farming is like a .5 on the 10 point scale of evil.
No I am not joking. They grind the baby boy chicks to death while they are alive. It's called "maceration" and it was like looking into hell.
