Happy Halloween! Show off your carving skills and unleash your creativity at our Pumpkin Carving Contest!

Rules: Must be real pumpkin (you can show off other stuff but it won’t be part of the contest) Must be current year carved pumpkin – don’t be a jew Submissions close - extended to midnight pacific Oct 31st! Poll will be created with all submission where you’ll be able to vote I encourage you to submit your kids/grand kids creations No more than 2 submissions per person – pick the best one

At a former workplace years ago, there was a pumpkin carving contest. The winner was a PAINTED face on a non-carved pumpkin. That ruined workplace contests for me. Carving takes knife skill and the determination to rip out the pulp and seeds to make a smooth interior for the light. I'll consider next year getting back into the tradition of carving. I'm intrigued by the turnip carving post, that would be a fun little project too.

Yeah, painting the pumpkins is just lazy.

I was also intrigued by the carved turnips, they are neat and would be easier to carve vs a pumpkin
