For most you're probably right. I've known some enlightened people that were truly free though. True freedom is being comfortable in your own skin regardless of circumstance. You can be free in a prison cell and a slave as a billionaire.

That's what you think because it's the apple on a string in front of the donkey (ego desire). Trust me, money does not make you happy.

I'm fairly well off (not super wealthy but pretty comfortable) and it means nothing to me now even though I spent a good portion of my life in pursuit of the almighty dollar. The system programs us to believe the rich are happier than we are but they're not. It's just to their advantage to keep us on the treadmill and believing in the 'Merican dream.
