I don't think they realize, or even care, that these have been the lion's share of the market for years now. This would be an almost impossible task which would only make owners criminals. Plus everything from shotguns to pistols have been made in the image of an AK or an AR, so how will they decide which is 'good' and which is 'bad'? Especially when you can do the same things with a Winchester or Remington, et al, semi-auto rifle circa 1900.
