It's funny, because my wife shot me in a similar manner.

Well...except no dumbass scope on a rifle at 20ft...she was firing a 10mm pistol at a target about 40ft away...FMJ (meaning just the jacket) bounced right of that metal target and gave me a nice scar across my arm.
